I love this film. Just like you would say anything from Nosferatu to Nightmare On Elm Street is horror, anything pre is in this “type of film” category.

It was emblazoned in my mind as one of my favorite books ever! Although, there a number of passages that appear to be verbose primarily for pecuniary reasons, the Comte of Monte-Cristo is the work where Dumas exercised the greatest discipline.
